Hostages – about the 1979 Iranian revolution and the 1979–81 Iran hostage crisis. I knew a bit about the American side of this, but seeing Iranian history and context was the most interesting part. Absolutely relevant to current events.

It was made a couple of years ago, but Defuncland's "Disney's FastPass: A complicated history" is an incredible documentary that I watched this year. You don't need to know too much about Disney for it to absorb you in.

For me, it has been this 30-minute video on the disasters climbers faced attempting to summit K2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfO61yFgUqA

The narrators voice is annoying clickbait shit.

If you like this, check out The Alpinist. Literally the best movie I’ve ever seen. Also, felt like it was on par with Alex Honnolds climbing movie

The Alpinist was incredible. There’s a scene where Marc Andre climbs an ice wall, alone, in silence. Just the crackling of the ice, his breathing, and the sound of his icepicks and shoes. Made me understand the “why” - without any words.

20 Days in Mariupol was devastating, and a reality check.
